Dianthus, in the carnation family, are a semi-evergreen perennial producing beautiful colors from late Spring to early Summer.
Can be grown in full sun or part shade, but will produce less flowers and foliage in hot, dry areas. Tolerant of short periods of dryness, but water regularly during dry periods.
